Golf Drinking Game
Golf is a great drinking card game. It is played with 4 or more players and is based on skill, strategy, and memorization. The object of the game is to have the lowest score (strokes) at the end. Each card is worth face value with Aces being 1 stroke, Kings are worth zero strokes, and face cards are worth 10 strokes.
How To Play
![]() | Shuffle the deck and then deal four cards face down to each player in a ‘box’ formation. The remaining cards are set aside as a draw pile and the top card is placed face up next to it. Once four cards are dealt to all players, each player is allowed to look at only 1 of their face down cards. Play goes clockwise around the table where each player attempts to better their total score by replacing one of their four face down cards with the top card from either the face-up or face-down draw piles. In this example, the player has the option of drawing the Three Of Spades or the top card from the face-down pile to replace with one of their four cards. |
![]() | If they replace one of their cards with a card from a draw pile, their replaced card is laid on the face-up draw pile and their turn ends. If they draw from the face-down pile and do not want to replace any of their cards, the card they drew is laid on the face-up draw pile and their turn ends. In this example, the player decided to replace his 7 with the 3 from the face up pile. He places the 3 face down, and puts the 7 in the face up pile. The next player now has the option to draw the 7 or the top card from the face down pile. |
Game Ending
When a player thinks they have a lower score than anyone else, they knock on the table when it's their turn. Their turn ends (they dont get to draw any cards) and all remaining players are allowed one last turn. After the last turn, each person turns over and adds up their card values to determine their score. The player with the lowest score wins.
All players will then participate in a waterfall where the lowest score is at top, and the highest score is at the bottom.
Alternatively, instead of a water fall, the players can drink the same number of chugs that they have for their score.
