Circle Of Death Drinking Card Game

Circle Of Death (also known as Kings Cup, Ring Of Fire, Four Kings, and Captain Dickhead) is best played at a table and with a group of 4 or more people. It‘s a card game that requires alcohol tolerance, imagination, and quick thinking rather than skill or strategy.

How To Play

Circle Of Death Card Setup

Place a empty cup in the middle of the table. Shuffle and spread the cards face down in a circle around the cup.

Going around the table, each person takes turns drawing a card and performing the action associated with the card specified below.

Red Cards 2-8:

Player must take the number of drinks for the face value of the card

Black Cards 2-8:

Player must pass out the numbers of drinks to anyone at the table (all to one player, or split up between multiple players)

9 “Rhyme”

Player picks a word and going clockwise around the table each player must say a word that rhymes with it. First person who cant think of a rhyming word drinks. Example: “cat”, “hat”, “sat” etc.

10 “Categories”

Player picks a category and going clockwise around the table each player must say a word that goes with the category. First person who cant think of a word drinks. Example: “Beer Brands” – “Miller”, “Budweiser”, “Coors” etc.

Jack “Rule”

Player gets to pick a rule that is effective for the rest of the game. Example: “Can only drink with left hand”, “Must always stand up when you drink”, “Must make all your sentences a question” etc. Any player that breaks a rule during the game must drink again.

Queen “Never Have I Ever”

All players except the picker hold up 3 fingers. The picker says “Never Have I Ever” and then a statement. Each time a player has never done the statement, they lower a finger. The first person(s) to have no fingers remain drinks. Example: Dealer says “Never Have I Ever Got A Speeding Ticket”. Those who have never had a speeding ticket would then lower a finger.

King "Kings Cup"

Each time a person draws a king, they pour some of their drink into the cup in the middle of the table. The person who draws the fourth king must drink what’s in the cup.

Ace “Waterfall”

All players at the table participate in a waterfall. This is where all players at the table start drinking at the same time and a player can only stop drinking once the person to their right stops drinking. The person who drew the ace will be the first person to stop drinking. The person to the left it the chooser can then stop drinking, followed by the person to their left and so on. Here is a detailed example of a drinking game Waterfall.

End Of Turn

After each play, the card is discarded into a separate pile, or follow the "mushroom game" rules below.

Optoinal Mushroom Game

Circle Of Death Card Setup

Instead of simply placing the card in a discard pile, the players will balance their card on top of an unopened beer can which is placed off to the side of the table. When placing the cards on top of the can, at least 2 edges of the card must be hanging over the edge of any other card that this car is played on. When a person knocks over any cards when placing a card, they must drink the beer.

End Of Game

The game ends when the fourth king is drawn. Players may optionally play until all the cards are gone, or when the pile of cards is knocked over in the "mushroom game".
